I’ve always been interested in everything to do with health. When I was a child I wanted to become a doctor, and although that dream gradually fizzled out I didn’t lose my fascination with health, and with what can make us ill and what can heal us.
I had my first experience of homeopathic treatment in the late 1990s, and thought it was wonderful. I was intrigued by the remedies and the profound effects they had on me. Little did I know how significant homeopathy would become for me. In 2012 I felt that I was at a crossroads. I loved my writing career yet I needed a fresh challenge. The only snag was that I didn’t know what that might be. I was having some bewildering physical symptoms but hospital scans didn’t reveal any problems and therefore the NHS couldn’t offer me any treatment.
I decided to see a local homeopath who came highly recommended. Little did I realise that my consultation with him would take my life in an entirely new direction. As soon as I got home that afternoon I ordered several books on homeopathy. I couldn’t put them down. The more I read the more fascinated I became and I realised that I wanted to train as a homeopath.
I studied in London at the Centre for Homeopathic Education and gained my BSc Hons in homeopathy in 2017. I now work as a homeopath and I also give supervision and mentorship to student homeopaths. I absolutely love it. It’s so rewarding to work with people to improve their health at every level.
